28º WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

Mais uma vez o campeonato mundial de carros-asa é realizado em São Paulo, desta feita na Red Fox Raceway, em Aruja, SP.
O seguinte texto está colocado no site oficial brasileiro - NPRA - http://www.npra.com.br/ - falando sobre o certame e sobre os brasileiros que são campeões mundiais.

"Arujá city in São Paulo, at the new RED FOX RACEWAY. The event will begin on 13th May, with the local race G27 Spray , and will finish on the 17th May with the fastest vehicle in the world the G7 OPEN race. Brazil has held four slotcar World Championship, and the first time it was in 1995 at Red Fox of Tatuapé, having as champion Alexandre Ribeiro "Gordo", but few years early in 1992 Jae Yong was the first Brazilian champion in G7 racing, the race was held in the Island of Saint Martin. The other three races that happened in Brazil was in 2000 at Red Fox Augusta and 2003 at Monza Raceway , the champions were the Sweden Lasse Aberg and the German Mario Shone, respectively. But was in 2006 in the city of Rio de Janeiro at the TopSlot Raceway, Brazil put another name in the board of the G7 world champions; João Carlos Geraldo, and the second place with Norberto Arrivabene "Norba", second position also accomplished by José Mario Serra in 2004 in USA. Brazil always is very well represented with ours drives travelling around the world in many different type of Slot Racing. Luis "GuGu" Bernardino, RED FOX RACEWAY owner, is finishing the most modern track in Brazil and we are sure it will be the biggest event of slotcat in Brazil in the year of 2009. International slot racers already confirmed their presence. At least, four World's champions will be present; Paul "Beuf" Pedersen (USA) three times champion, Mario Shone (GER) twice and returning to the tracks after three years, Josef Korec (CZ) champion in 2005, and Vladimir Horky (CZ) the last champion in 2008. by Artur Luis Rodrigues"
